Christian Pulisic is hands down one of the most exciting prospects in world football at the moment.
And as the American wonderteen continues the preparations for the new season with his team Borussia Dortmund now would be a great time to reflect on the fact that the host of Europe’s top clubs are vying for Pulisic s signature.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a frustrating season with both his club and country with Borussia Dortmund finishing fourth in the Bundesliga standings and the United States national team missing out on the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Glowing Spark in Dortmund’s Disappointing Season
Still, on the personal level, it’s fair to say Christian Pulisic kept the bar high and performed right up to the overall standard and quality he boasts as one…
Spanish Primera Liga side Valladolid have appointed former Spain coach Javier Clemente as their new manager until the end of the season, the club said Tuesday.
Clemente, who managed the Spanish national team between 1992 and 1998, replaces Onesimo Sanchez, who was sacked on Monday after just over two months at the helm of the club which is at risk of relegation.
The 60 year-old has coached other Spanish league sides including Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol, Getxo and Real Betis.
He took over the Serbian national team in July 2006 but was let go in December 2007 after the country failed to qualify for Euro 2008.
Valladolid are 19th and second to bottom in La Liga with 43 points, just one point above Xerez, following their 2-0 defeat to Villarreal on Sunday.
Manchester United are lining up a £50m summer bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane,.
The Red Devils were linked with a move for the England international last summer, after he had scored an impressive twenty-one league goals for the North London club.
Despite a slow start to this campaign, Kane looks back to his best with seven strikes in his last seven league outings and United manager Louis van Gaal is ready to renew his interest as he looks to add more firepower to his goal-shy side.
Saturday’s 0-0 draw with West Ham United was the fifth time in nine games where the Manchester side have failed to score, and a result that left them in fourth place in the division – three points behind shock leaders Leicester City.
They are now to win t…

Two sides who turn their attention back to Europa League duties on Thursday night, Ajax and Roma will face off at The Johan Cruijff Arena.
Starting with the hosts, while they might have fallen behind against Heerenveen over the weekend, Ajax once again completed the turnaround and the mood in their camp should be at a high. Eventually snatching a late 2-1 victory on their travels, the Dutch giants find themselves holding an 11-point buffer at the top of the Eredivisie and with a silverware sweep at the top of their agenda. Entering March s international break with what quickly turned into a thumping 5-0 romp against ADO Den Haag, it is no surprise that Ajax have once again gained a reputation for their clinical displays in…

PSG in new bid for Kurzawa
French daily newspaper that Paris Saint-Germain are not giving up on Monaco full-back Layvin Kurzawa.
The Saints plan to lure the talented footballer to Parc des Princes due to the fact that Lucas Digne is nearing a summer move to AS Roma.
PSG have recently submitted an €18 million proposal for the player s services, but have seen the bid rejected by Monaco.
Namely, the Principality club want around €30 million for Kurzawa, meaning the ball is back in PSG s court.
The 23-year-old has developed into one of country s leading left-sided defenders and has been linked with quite a few top sides in the past.
It is believed he is tempted by the prospect of joining Paris Saint-Germain, and is hoping the Ligue 1 ri…
Juventus are confident Andrea Pirlo is destined for greatness and a natural fit for the club, says chief football officer Fabio Paratici.
Juve dismissed Maurizio Sarri on Saturday in the wake of their Champions League exit at the hands of Lyon on Friday.
Sarri spent just one season at the club, winning the Serie A title but failing in the Coppa Italia and Champions League and his replacement was surprisingly announced just hours later.
Pirlo, who rejoined Juve as the Under-23s coach last week, has signed a two-year deal.
However, despite the job being Pirlo s first in senior coaching, Paratici – whose future is also reportedly in doubt – has full faith in the former midfielder.
The decision for Pirlo was very natural, in the Juventus style, b…
Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered a worrying twisted ankle in Liverpool s 3-2 defeat Arsenal that caused him too much pain to carry on, Jurgen Klopp said.
Manager Klopp said Alexander-Arnold s injury showed troubling signs of swelling, with Liverpool planning to get the right-back checked out on Monday.
The substitution of the England defender at half-time came after a dismal first-half performance, where he was arguably at fault to some extent for both of Arsenal s goals prior to the break.
For their first, after just 58 seconds, Gabriel Martinelli ran in behind the full-back to drive a low shot past Alisson.
Darwin Nunez brought Liverpool level, but Arsenal regained the lead just moments before the break when Martinelli again charged down the left, this t…
France coach Laurent Blanc said on Sunday that he would decide on a permanent captain at the end of the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
The 44-year-old was speaking the day after his side had beaten Romania 2-0 to make it two successive wins in the qualifiers after opening with an embarrassing 1-0 home defeat to Belarus.
Blanc who replaced the disgraced Raymond Domenech when the latter stood down after the catastrophic World Cup finals campaign in June handed the captain s armband to Alou Diarra for the Romania clash.
However, Blanc who cut his managerial teeth with Bordeaux delivering them the 2009 league title said that Bordeaux midfielder Diarra had performed well in the role but there were also other candidates who could be tried out as skipper.
The captain s …
Xabi Alonso s decision to leave Real Madrid for Bayern Munich in 2014 was not an escape and was purely down to his desire to test himself in another country again.
After joining from Liverpool five years prior, Alonso somewhat surprisingly opted to leave the Santiago Bernabeu after winning the Champions League, prompting speculation he was pushed out.
But the experienced midfielder has nothing but fond memories of his time in the Spanish capital as he prepares to return to his former hunting ground on Tuesday, when Bayern will look to overturn a 2-1 defeat from the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
It was not an escape. I did not flee from anything, Alonso, who will retire at the end of the season, told El Pais.
It was not like I w…
